Due to the difficulty of access, lost paradises like Atins were hidden for many years. Now, KiteSurf athletes have occupied the village and are moving tourism, gastronomy and hotels.

Atins is part of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, so the main access is through the city of Barreirinhas - MA. After crossing the Preguiças River, the journey takes about 50 minutes to the center of the village. But for those who are not in a hurry to get there, we recommend exploring some of the beautiful lakes along the way, such as Lagoa Tropical, Lagoa dos Toyteiros and Lagoa das Sete Mulheres.

There, you will find the mouth of the Preguiças River, that is, where the river ends and flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The proper season for the sport starts in June and
